Ale Nuñez
Ale Avery Nuñez is a Toronto-based jazz vocalist, songwriter, and bandleader whose sound blends the sophistication of jazz with the soulfulness of her diverse influences — from Sarah Vaughan, Carmen McRae, Nat King Cole, and Etta Jones to Aretha Franklin, Norah Jones, and Feist. A recent Bachelor of Music graduate from Humber College, Ale has quickly become an in-demand performer, appearing regularly at venues such as The Rex and the Jazz Bistro, and sharing the stage with top musicians including Neil Swainson, Terry Clarke, and Adam Arruda.
Her talent has earned her notable recognition, including features in JazzFM91’s 2024 Discover Women in Jazz series, performances at the 2024 TD Markham Jazz Festival and the 2025 Toronto Jazz Festival, and a finalist spot in the 2025 Ella Fitzgerald Jazz Vocal Competition by The Blues Alley Jazz Society.
