The Undercovers Duo 2.0 at Fionn’s

Kelly Warren and Roger Saloum met at a rehearsal in 1988 for a large motorcycle-club rally concert. Kelly, a Northern Alberta kid, began singing boldly in Grade 3. The bass grabbed him at 16, and by 17 he’d even been invited to study jazz trumpet at the University of Southern California—though he instead hit the road as a touring rock bassist.

One province over, Roger grew up in Saskatoon honing Classical, Jazz, and Rock skills on Piano and Guitar. He now performs widely and teaches from his cozy West End home. Their careers have taken them to London, Germany, Dubai, and the U.S., playing for royalty and the occasional NHL franchise. After 25 years together, they draw from an extensive song list and handle requests with charm and precision.

Life isn’t only music: Kelly pursues the perfect cup of coffee, runs a custom print company, climbs with his daughters, and wrangles his dog. Roger enjoys watching CSI and Law & Order with his wife. They seem to have the life-balance thing mastered—and look half their age!
