ShowHub Artist Spotlight: Wish
We connected with this young artist a few months ago, and were impressed by her professionalism and dedication. The fact she’s reached the level she has in such a short time speaks to both her drive and talent. We had the opportunity to interview her for our new artist spotlight series.
As of this writing, Wish is currently in 3rd place in her category for the Top Hitmaker contest. Not only that – she has done so without spamming it nonstop across her socials. (Edit, as of July 4, 2025 Wish ended up placing 5th!)
Check out the videos at the bottom of this article to see what the buzz is all about.
Meet the Artist
How long have you been performing?
I started performing just a year ago at open mics and live stages. Before that, I spent years writing poetry, which slowly turned into songwriting—it’s been a natural evolution into music.
Have you lived in Vancouver long? Is your family here with you?
I’ve been living in Vancouver for six years now, but my family isn’t here with me. It’s just been me, building my life and music from the ground up.
You have 3 full albums and a number of singles on YouTube. Were all those released in the last few years? Do you have anything in production right now?
Yes, all of my music was released in the last two years. My first single Nevermind came out in 2023, and since then I’ve continued to create and grow. I currently have a lot in production—there’s always something new on the way.
Is your music all original?
Yes, everything I release is original. I write my songs and collaborate with producers to bring them to life. It’s a very personal and collaborative process.
What made you decide to enter the Top Hitmaker contest? What songs are you competing with?
I entered the contest because I saw it as a great platform to share my unique sound. I love mixing Bollywood melodies with English lyrics and modern vibes, and this felt like the perfect space to let that fusion shine. I’m competing with my debut track Nevermind—a song that really represents who I am as an artist.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In five years, I see myself living a life rooted in creativity, purpose, and balance. I want to continue growing as an artist—writing, recording, and performing music that resonates on a deeper level. I’d love to tour, collaborate with other musicians, and explore new genres and sounds, while still staying true to my unique blend of Bollywood and English influences. Beyond the music, I hope to use my platform to inspire peace, healing, and emotional connection. Success for me isn’t just about charts or fame—it’s about creating something meaningful and lasting, both for myself and for the people who listen.
Is there anything else you’d like people to know about you?
I’m a very spiritual person, and I hope that in the future, my music can be a source of peace and harmony in the world. That’s really what drives me—creating something meaningful that connects with people.
