Ava Shadmani
Ava Shadmani is a violinist and advocate for cultural integration through music. She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Violin Performance from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where she studied with David Perry of the Pro Arte Quartet and earned a full scholarship position in the university’s distinguished graduate string quartet.
Ava’s career bridges performance and education, with extensive engagements across Iran, Europe, and North America. Her work frequently explores Persian musical heritage, and she is a passionate interpreter of works by Iranian composers. In 2021, she received the David and Edith Sinaiko Frank Fellowship for a Woman in the Arts for Unheard Voices of Iran— a project that presents folk-inspired compositions from Iran, aiming to build cultural understanding across geographic and ideological divides.
