Likewise is a Vancouver-based indie folk-soul group that writes and sings about global change — from the inside out.

Their sound draws influence from folk, rock, gospel, soul, and Canadiana. Imagine Joni Mitchell sharing a coffee with Dave Matthews, Birds of Chicago, and Half Moon Run. At the heart of Likewise’s music is a thread of optimism, offering songs of hope and transcendence that reflect the chaos and beauty of our shared human experience. Their self-titled debut album has been described as “haunting, exquisite, and complex.”

Likewise has performed for enthusiastic audiences at events such as the Blessed Coast Festival in Squamish and Metamorfest, and are beloved regulars at Vancouver Farmers’ Markets and Granville Island. In the summer of 2022, the group toured through the Sunshine Coast, Kamloops, and the Naramata Valley, performing at a range of cideries, breweries, and wineries.

The band also created and hosted the Night of Song house concert series — intimate gatherings where audiences were taken on a journey from sacred stillness to energizing groove. From the haunting cry of In the Dark to the uplifting anthem Ageless Sun, Likewise keeps their roots grounded while reaching skyward.
