Mazacote is a high-energy Latin/world band with deep roots in the music of Colombia, Venezuela, and Mozambique. Fusing Afro-Caribbean percussion and brass-driven grooves, they deliver powerful Latin dance rhythms with a social message.

Their JUNO-nominated album PATRIA (Justin Time Records) explores themes of identity, migration, and resistance. Known for electrifying performances, Mazacote has played major festivals including the Vancouver International Salsa Festival (with Jimmy Bosch), Carnaval del Sol, Vancouver and Edmonton Jazz Festivals, and the PNE.
