Phil Robertson

Phil Robertson is a highly experienced session drummer with over 25 years in the industry, working across real-world studio recordings, online drum sessions, and MIDI drum production. He has recorded live drum tracks for major labels like Sony, Universal, EMI, and WEA, and was one of three drummers featured on the pre-recorded music for the 2010 Winter Olympics and the 2011 IOC Arab Games. His work spans a diverse range of projects, from jingles and soundtracks to video game scores, including EA Sports’ NBA LIVE series, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2, and The Simpsons: Road Rage. Additionally, he has contributed to promotional campaigns for NBA and gaming soundtracks for Bally Casinos in Las Vegas.

Beyond recording, Phil has collaborated with renowned producers such as Michael Beinhorn (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Bob Rock (Metallica), Sylvia Massy (Prince, Johnny Cash), and Chad Kroeger (Nickelback). He has performed live alongside music legends like Ray Charles, David Foster, Roger Hodgson of Supertramp, and Michael Bublé. As a founding member of the Juno-winning band Idle Eyes, he toured with major acts such as Bryan Adams, Toto, and Tears for Fears. Phil also served as the drummer for the Calgary Stampede Grandstand Show from 2004 to 2008 and played at high-profile events like Expo 1986’s Gala for Prince Charles and Princess Diana. His recent projects include album sessions for Swiss heavy band Allison and Canadian folk artist Roy Forbes.
