Shannon Scott is a vocalist and pianist originally from Red Deer, Alberta, and a graduate of Capilano University’s Bachelor of Jazz Performance program. Based in Vancouver, she has built a dynamic career as a performer, arranger, and collaborator across a wide range of genres. Her work includes original alt-jazz compositions, vintage vocal harmony with Company B Jazz Band, and interdisciplinary projects with artists such as Barbara Adler and CR Avery — including performances at the Vancouver and Calgary Folk Music Festivals.

Her current project highlights her original songs, blending dense harmonies and asymmetrical rhythms with lyrical storytelling that ranges from metaphorical to confessional. The project earned Galaxie Rising Star nominations in 2007 and 2009, and her debut full-length album was released in 2009. Shannon has been a regular performer at the Vancouver International Jazz Festival since 2007.
