The Barrel Maker is straight-up drinkin’ music — nothing watered down. It’s rooted in classic Country, shot through with hard-edged Rock and Roll, and built to tell it like it is.

Founded in 2015 by Evan Kuiper, the project started as a break from the usual. No stranger to late-night karaoke and honest storytelling, Evan quickly found his groove. Within a few months, he was recording the debut EP, Maybe One Day, featuring four originals and a cover of Billy Squier’s “The Stroke.”

In 2022, Evan headed to Nashville to record his first full-length album, Lonesome Drifter, working with a crew of seasoned players who’ve backed some of country’s all-time greats — Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, David Allan Coe, George Jones, Jamey Johnson, and more. The result was nine original tracks and a cover of Coe’s “Spotlight” — solid, no-nonsense country gold.

By 2023, Evan had pulled together a tight live band of country renegades. No drama, no posturing — just good songs and good times. From dive bars to festivals, rodeos to motorcycle rallies, they bring it loud, fast, and full of hillbilly charm.
