Trois Katz

Trois Katz is an impromptu trio of seasoned Vancouver-area musicians united by a shared love of vibrant folk traditions. Fiddler Prairie Wolfe brings over 20 years of experience and a lively style rooted in Scottish, Cape Breton, and French Canadian music, leading the contra dance band Ground Effect with driving rhythms and infectious energy. Accordionist and concertina player Jenny White adds rich texture and melodic depth, drawing from her deep roots in Irish, Old-time, and Quebecois traditions, and a lifelong devotion to folk music.

Completing the trio is fingerstyle guitarist Chika Buston, whose eclectic influences and fluid technique add warmth and momentum to the group’s sound. With a dynamic blend of traditions and a natural chemistry, Trois Katz delivers spirited performances that invite both listening and dancing, lighting up stages and dance floors across the folk scene in British Columbia.
