Rooted in the East Kootenay region of British Columbia, Wild Honey is a dynamic all-female trio known for their rich harmonies and reflective songwriting. Longtime collaborators and busy mothers, Shelby, Jessica, and Laura have spent the past decade crafting music shaped by their love of the outdoors and their small-town mountain life. Their newest EP, Let’s Be Cowboys — recorded and produced by Canadian music icon Barney Bentall — captures this spirit with warmth and honesty.

The EP stands as a tribute to their daughters — eight between them — celebrating courage, individuality, and a new generation unbound by outdated expectations. Songs like Let it Roll and Caged Bird touch gently on struggles with mental health following the pandemic, while Fly Angel offers a spirited response to John Prine’s Angel from Montgomery. At its heart, Let’s Be Cowboys is a collection of songs about resilience, connection, and the enduring power of hope.
