Born and raised in New Westminster, BC, bassist and bandleader William Chernoff performs original instrumental music. Will has released two studio albums: Aim to Stay, featuring a quartet with trumpet, piano, and drums; and Maybe Eventually, where he is joined in a trio by guitar and drums. His newest group, Western Red Cedar, plays Celtic-based music in an improvising ensemble. Will is also known for publishing Rhythm Changes, a website that covers Canada’s creative music scene with a focus on Vancouver.
