The Wolf & Hound

The Wolf & Hound, founded in 2002, was named in honor of the late Danny Burns, a prominent Irish musician and member of the top-rated Belfast band “The Wolfhound.” After moving to Vancouver in the 1970s, Danny became a central figure in the Irish community, known for his talent and charisma. He founded the Danny Burns Ballad Band, which became the house band at Culpepper’s on West Broadway, making it the go-to spot for Irish music in the 1990s. Although Danny passed away just before the pub’s opening, the Wolf & Hound stands as a tribute to his legacy as a proud Irishman and entertainer. Sláinte, Danny!
