Ahmed Maher is a Canadian Egyptian oud master and composer whose work elegantly explores and redefines the boundaries of acoustic instrumental sounds. Based in Vancouver, Maher crafts vast, cinematic soundscapes where the ancient geometry of Arabic maqams enters into a fluid dialogue with contemporary jazz and ambient minimalism. His music is an architecture of stillness and breath – a deeply contemplative journey that uses the resonant strings of the oud to map out spaces of emotional release and inner reflection.
