Daphne Roubini, affectionately dubbed the “First Lady of Uke,” is the vocalist and ukulele player for Black Gardenia, a Vancouver-based quintet known for its signature blend of London jazz and Americana. Their distinct, laid-back fusion of vintage jazz, country, folk, and blues from the 1920s to the 1940s transports audiences to an era where sophistication was effortless and noir was a way of life. With performances spanning festivals and clubs across two continents, Black Gardenia continues to captivate listeners with their timeless sound.
