Philadelphia-born and Vancouver-based, Buddie melds introspective lyrics and earworm melodies into bite-sized grunge-pop songs. Drawing from power pop, alternative rock, and shoegaze, the quartet transforms bright melodies into something louder, heavier, and beautifully frayed at the edges. Their 2025 album Glass explores themes of inequality, connection, humour, and collective possibility. Buddie has performed at festivals including Sled Island, Khatsalano, Music Waste, and NXNE, and has received praise from Bandcamp, Exclaim!, Under the Radar Magazine, and others.
