Burnaby Mountain Boys

Artist Website

The Burnaby Mountain Boys are a five piece bluegrass band who sing in two and three part harmony while performing classic and contemporary bluegrass on guitar, banjo, fiddle, mandolin, and stand-up bass.

Alongside traditional bluegrass from the likes of Bill Monroe, Flat & Scruggs and Del McCoury, Burnaby Mountain Boys also present modern material from Canadian bluegrass leaders: the Slocan Ramblers, the Barrel Boys and the Foggy Hogtown Boys. BMB’s ‘grass-fed covers include songs from Americana artists like Wilco, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, and Johnny Cash.

Formed in 2011 to perform at the Pacific Bluegrass and Oldtime Music Society’s open stage, Burnaby Mountain Boys have been playing their unique blend of bluegrass and ‘grass-fed Americana tunes ever since—at Main Street Car Free Day and the Harvest Days festival at Van Duesen Gardens as well as regular shows at local bars and breweries. They would love to bring their sound and their friends to your local venue or event.
