Pianist and educator, Chris Sigerson has been active on the Vancouver music scene since the 1980’s playing a wide variety of gigs with many great musicians, both locally and abroad. Jazz standards and improvised music continue to make up the balance of his performance material but Chris also enjoys other styles and genres.

Chris has been featured on several CBC broadcasts over the years and continues to work on projects in the recording studio. He has produced five albums: “Heritage”, “A Father’s Dream”, “Merry Chris, Chris, Christmas”, “A Christmas Tribute” and, “Live At The Thomas Av. Grill.” An album featuring Chris Gestrin, Benjamin Sigerson, Ken Lister and Craig Scott will be released soon.

Chris teaches jazz piano at Capilano College and has produced a series of piano books. These arrangements introduce harmonies and voicings in the language of jazz and are designed to be accessible to the novice jazz pianist. They demonstrate a simple approach to complex harmonies.
