Formed in the fall of 2021, Cookin’ with Brass unites musicians who had played together in various projects but shared a deep love for funky brass band music. Their first rehearsal turned into such an unstoppable party that they knew they had to share the vibe with the world. Drawing on the spirit of New Orleans legends like The Dirty Dozen Brass Band and Rebirth Brass Band, and the energy of contemporary groups such as Youngblood and Lucky Chops, they serve up a high-energy musical gumbo — a unique modern West Coast Funk that lights up every stage they play.
