Dave Paterson
Dave Paterson has been a staple of the West Coast blues scene for over 20 years, performing solo, in duos with various collaborators, and fronting multiple bands with rotating lineups. His solo sets showcase vintage guitars and rack harmonica, drawing on country blues and roots legends like Robert Johnson, Jimmy Reed, and Hank Williams.
He co-founded the Vancouver roots trio The Skillet Lickers, joined by Stacey Zabolotney and James Lillico, with guests like Jimmy Roy and Steve Taylor. His latest group, Rollin’ and Tumblin’, leans into electric blues and blue-eyed soul, covering artists such as T-Bone Walker, Sam Cooke, and Earl Hooker.
Across all projects, Dave is backed by a deep bench of top local players — including drummers James Badger, Chris Nordquist, Sandy Smith; bassists Sam Shoichet, Pat Darcus, James Lillico; and blues pianist Dave Webb.
