Graham Brown Band
Graham Brown – Guitar, Harmonica, Lead Vocals.
Brown was born in Glasgow Scotland, and you’d be hard pressed to find this guy without a hat when on stage. And he’s worn the hat of a musician who has lived through record deals in LA and shaken hands with Tom Petty, Colin James…and on and on. He was also a founding member of Edmontons ( Jr. Gone Wild ) back in 1984!
Rob Blackburn – Guitar, Keys / Harmony Vocals
Rob Blackburn’s 1st battery powered organ resides in his old hometown Brighton, Ontario. He was 3 when he first tickled those ivories; he was that whiz kid that continued on with piano lessons (right up through Humber College) even though the guitar was perceived as more hip. Indeed he can now impress with his self-taught guitar chops too!
John Werner – Bass Guitar
John Werner has spent nearly 50 years building a multi-genre music career across two continents. Born in England and raised in Edmonton, he embraced the counterculture spirit of the 60s despite facing hostility for his long hair and bold fashion. In 1977, he made history as a bassist for The Furies, Western Canada’s first punk band. Since returning to Vancouver in 1998, Werner has played with artists like Linda McRae and Howard Rix, and reunited with The Furies.
Mark Gruft – Drums
Mark met Graham Brown in 1987 and has been playing with him ever since. He has enjoyed a 25 year career as a live audio engineer culminating in a 6 year stint at The Commodore Ballroom. He has also played with Riley Inge and the Ryze Band, Oliver and The Elements, Sandy Bone and The Breakdown, The Modelos, Terminal Station, Big Joe Burke, Wichita Trip and The Alimony Brothers.
You can also find Graham and Rob playing as the duo, Blackburn Brown.
