Gregg Schiller
Gregory “Gregg” Schiller demanded to learn to play the Piano when he was 4 years old and was immediately directed to commence his studies at the National music school a.k.a. The Royal Conservatory of Music of Toronto where he graduated with a degree in Piano Performance at a very young age. He won many 1st prize Awards at various competitions and Festivals.
Gregg also teaches piano and plays piano for professional Ballet companies across Canada including: Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Alberta Ballet, Coastal City Ballet and Ballet BC, as well as at Ballet Schools throughout the Lower Mainland including the Goh Ballet, Arts Umbrella, and many more.
Gregg has been known to appear as Mozart and perform at various recitals and private events. He also accompanies various musicians and dancers for their auditions, concerts and graded examinations.
Gregg is currently Producing/Curating and performing for a popular new musical Variety Show he initiated with the Beaumont Studios called Piano Jams. Gregg is always looking to promote and encourage local artists to perform and to create a supportive community for artists to come together and share ideas and collaborate on new projects which is one of the great results coming from these music-based shows which includes various styles of musicians, dancers, comedians and Jugglers; all these performers have a musical element to each of their performances.
On another side of his life, Gregg has been recognised and awarded for his Advocacy work for the rights of people with autism and related intellectual disabilities and getting compensation benefits for people who suffered abuses in psychiatric institutions across Canada which culminated in a class action suit against the BC government which was successfully settled out of Court for ALL the vulnerable victims/Survivors of the residential Woodlands School.
