Hayley Wallis
Hayley Wallis’s voice commands attention: rich, textured, and effortlessly confident. Her performances carry emotional weight and clarity, moving listeners as much by her tone as by her story. Originally from Klemtu — a remote island in the Great Bear Rainforest — Hayley is deeply rooted in her Indigenous identity while embracing expansive musical horizons.
Her live track record is extensive and versatile: over 80 performances across BC and beyond since 2021, festivals including the Vancouver Folk Music Festival, Toronto and Victoria Jazz Festivals, the International Indigenous Music Summit and more. Her stage presence and connection with audiences have deepened with each show.
Hayley performs not only for herself, but for her children, her Nation, and those who follow in her footsteps. She sees her path not merely as a solo journey, but as a way to uplift, inspire, and create new possibilities for young Indigenous creators. In a landscape of change, she is forging her own road—grounded in heritage, driven by artistry, and reaching toward new horizons.
