Jared Richardson, also known as JD Rich, is a Canadian composer, producer, and pianist based in Vancouver, BC. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, his work spans orchestral, jazz, fusion, electronic music, and film scoring.

His compositions have been performed by the Victoria Symphony, Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, Hollywood Studio Symphony, and the Rousse Philharmonic Orchestra in Bulgaria. Jared is also the bandleader and keyboardist for JD Rich, his songwriter/producer project, and for Purple Comet Orchestra, an instrumental collective performing music from film and video games.

Deeply inspired by nature, Jared often writes while hiking on the West Coast, with melody at the heart of everything he creates. His goal is to craft music that resonates widely while maintaining a strong sense of artistic integrity.
