Kristin Fung
Kristin Fung is a Vancouver-based vocalist, keyboardist, composer, and improviser whose music blends funky R&B with jazzy, soulful energy. Known for her powerhouse voice and groovy piano chops, she draws comparisons to artists like Alicia Keys and Patrice Rushen. After several years in Toronto, she returned to Vancouver and released her second EP, Live at The Garden (2023), filmed during a rain-shifted concert at Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden.
Fung’s current projects include the studio release of her electro-R&B single Why Don’t You Dance, the debut of The No Sweet Carolines (Canada’s first Asian women-led R&B duelling pianos act), and a co-write with JUNO winner Jacq Teh. She is also the creator of Funk N’ Mink, an outdoor music and chocolate series supported by DowntownVan’s Public Space Vibrancy Program. Her past performances span Canada, the U.S., and Japan, including appearances at the Vancouver International Jazz Festival and Roulette in New York.
