Matt Kennedy has been singing and playing guitar and mandolin across Western Canada for decades. A lifelong musician, he can’t recall a time when he didn’t have a song in his head. His original music draws from personal experience — songs about family, friendship, life’s quiet moments, and the vast, inspiring landscapes of the West.

A fan of vintage instruments and intimate live performances, Matt brings warmth and authenticity to every show. He’s the lead singer, songwriter, and guitarist for Vancouver roots group Headlong Hearts, and plays mandolin with the long-running bluegrass band Five on a String.
