Matthew Presidente (he/him) has been a vibrant force in the queer music scene for over 20 years, blending bold rock/pop songwriting with masterful piano and dynamic vocals. Whether performing solo or with a full band, his music offers an honest queer perspective, evoking nostalgia, small-town memories, and personal discovery.

Hailed by Xtra Magazine as “one of—if not—the best singer/songwriters our LGBT scene has,” Matty has shared the stage with artists like Ace of Base, Dragonette, and Patti Smith. Known for his musical collaborations and signature leather pants, he also produces video series like World is Watching and More Keys w/ Matty P, showcasing LGBTQ2+ talent.

With six independent albums to his name, Matthew has played renowned venues including The Roxy, The Railway Club, and Numbers Cabaret. A longtime advocate for queer art, he’s been a staple on the Vancouver Pride Main Stage for over 12 years, with performances across Canada and beyond.
