Paul Pigat
Hailing from Vancouver, Canada, Paul Pigat is a masterful guitarist and singer whose signature sound fuses hot-rod rockabilly, country blues, and bebop jazz. Dubbed the “Motorhead of Rockabilly” in Europe, Pigat’s high-energy performances and dynamic versatility set him apart.
He channels his fiery rockabilly side as Cousin Harley, an onstage alter ego known for electrifying live shows. In contrast, his Boxcar Campfire project explores acoustic country blues and roots music, while the Paul Pigat Trio dives into vintage jazz and bebop.
With influences ranging from Les Paul and Danny Gatton to Blind Blake and Jimmie Rivers, Pigat seamlessly blends genres, proving himself as one of the most versatile musicians on the scene today.
“Being a well-rounded guitar player also means that you can sit in on almost any kind of gig. Up until a few years ago I had a jazz trio, a rock band, a cowpunk band, and all sorts of other things. If I had a chance to play everything I like, I’d be playing in 50 different bands.”
