Artist Website

Susana Williams is a Venezuelan-born producer, composer, singer, and multi-instrumentalist based in the Fraser Valley, British Columbia. Her music career began at 13 in Caracas, when a band rehearsing in her building invited her to sing — and hired her on the spot. By 15, she was already an award-winning vocalist performing regularly in local clubs, and by her early twenties, she had become a sought-after act in the city’s nightlife scene, known for her unique blend of Latin, pop, and rock. She also worked as a backing vocalist for well-known Latin artists and was signed to Airo Music before immigrating to Canada in 1998.

In Canada, Susana has continued to grow her career as a solo artist and performer. She has released several albums including Latin RootsDejame ContarteWe’re a MemoryLive at Hipposonic, and her most recent, To Be Honest (2024). Her talents as a singer and percussionist have led to performances at the Vancouver and Victoria Jazz Festivals, the 2010 Winter Olympics, and shared stages with artists such as Arturo Sandoval, Alex Cuba, and Poncho Sanchez. She has also fronted two of the West Coast’s most prominent Latin bands, Goma Dura and Rumba Calzada, and continues to perform locally with her solo project, Latin jazz ensemble, and rock band.
