Suzie Ungerleider has been captivating audiences for over 25 years with her luminous, emotionally charged voice and magnetic stage presence. A sharp and soulful songwriter with a gift for detail and a dry sense of humour, her songs resonate deeply — often landing somewhere between a tear and a knowing smile.

Originally born in the U.S. and raised in Vancouver, Suzie began performing under the name Oh Susanna in the mid-1990s. She quickly gained attention for her haunting vocals and poetic songwriting, earning a place at the forefront of Canada’s folk and roots scene. Her music weaves through folk, Americana, and alt-country, always anchored by a strong sense of story and her own artistic integrity.

Over the years, she’s earned widespread recognition, including a Genie Award for Best Original Song, a Canadian Folk Music Award for English Songwriter of the Year, and multiple nominations for both the Junos and the Canadian Folk Music Awards.

After many years in Toronto’s vibrant roots music scene, Suzie now lives in Vancouver with her husband, daughter, and their dog Willow.
