The Gin Mill Ramblers

Artist Website

The Gin Mill Ramblers is a dynamic group that specializes in hokum and hot, dirty, greasy jazz and blues from the early 20th-century, featuring songs by luminaries like Tampa Red, Washboard Sam, Bo Carter, and many more. This gang of misfits is led by trumpet-/banjo-player and vocalist Michael Coury, with a regular rotating cast of musical accomplices, including: Mike Braverman (reeds/banjo/vox/piano), Matt Lam (clarinet/piano/mandolin), Mike Allen (bass sax), among others.  Depending upon the exact members on any given night, musical offerings may also include country, folk-songs, and bluegrass.  Musical friends are welcome to join, and clapping and singing along by the audience is strongly encouraged.
