ShowHub Shortcuts for Apple Devices

May 1, 2026

ShowHub on the Go

As part of our progress toward ShowHub’s planned live mapping feature, we’ve begun integrating tools that provide on-demand information about the current day’s listings*.

With a one-click installation through the links below, you can now access custom Siri prompts through Apple Shortcuts. There are currently two available: Live music now, and Live music info

These features are being released first as Siri integrations through installable Apple Shortcuts. Android and Alexa integrations are more complicated to set up, but will be added if there’s enough interest.

They are free to use during the beta phase, through the end of 2026. We may later include them as part of a ShowHub+ subscription as the service develops, but for now they’re open for anyone to try.

Note: you can change the prompts to whatever you’d like by re-naming the shortcuts – however finding prompts that don’t send Siri searching the web can be challenging. These ones work consistently, so are what we’re using as the defaults. There are a few options at the bottom of this post that also worked in our testing, if you prefer any of those.

Live Music Now – Shows Near You

Say: “(Hey) Siri, live music now.”

Siri: Announces the three shows currently happening, or about to start, closest to you.

This includes the Summer / Outdoor event listings, making it quick and easy to find out who is playing nearby when you’re on the go!

These distance-based results require your location in order to find the shows closest to you, but that information is only accessed when the query is run, and is not stored or tracked.

Location and Hands Free Use

If you select “Always Allow” for location when prompted, you can use this feature hands-free, when your phone is locked, and through CarPlay. Make sure mobile data is enabled for the Shortcuts app if you want to use it away from Wi-Fi.

Privacy

Your location is only used to compare against ShowHub’s venue coordinates so the shortcut can tell you the closest shows. It is not saved or tracked, and the shortcut does not access your location at any other time.

Live Music Info – Today’s Venue Lineups

This shortcut does not use location information, but will ask you to allow it to contact ShowHub the first time you run it, so it can fetch the information for you.

Say: (Hey) Siri, live music info.

Siri: “Which venue?”

Say: the name of the venue you’re asking about

It will then tell you the venue’s music schedule for the current day.

Or you’re welcome to add this venue lookup shortcut for use with these alternate prompts

You can also just re-name the shortcut to something else, and make it your own!

Beta Note

Because Siri does not always hear venue names correctly, this may not be flawless yet. If there is a venue name Siri consistently does not recognize, please let us know and we will add code to help it match more easily.

*Results are based on ShowHub’s listings for that day, so coverage reflects the events currently included on the site.
